•       Some cells divide and reproduce quickly. For example, skin cells.
•       The longest cells in humans are known as motor neurons. They can be up to 4.5 feet i.e., 1.37 meters long and run from the lower spinal cord to the big toe!
•       RBC’s or the red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen to different parts of the body and they get created inside the bone marrow of our bones.
•       The largest cell in the human body is a fertilized egg but it is still too small to be seen with the naked eye!
•       The cell membrane not only holds different contents of the cell together it also acts as a receptor for identifying the cells to other cells.
•       Mitochondria is known as the powerhouse of the cell. It is a tiny structure that provides energy to the cell for performing its functions.
•       Each cell is assigned a special function. These are also known as specialised cells. And each group of specialised cells forms a tissue.
•       Cell theory states that all living organisms are composed of cells, it is the fundamental unit of life and all new cells come or born out of pre-existing cells.
•       Scientists have estimated that about 95% of all the cells in the body are bacteria! The vast majority of these microbes can be found within the digestive tract and billions of bacteria also live on the skin!
•       The red blood cells in animals do not have a nucleus.
•       Some cells in animals can also swim when necessary. For example, Protozoans.
•       Stem cells in animals are capable of transforming the body needs into any necessary cell.
•       70% of the cell is water.
